We’ve been given another entry into July’s NZ Stout Challenge. This year the challenge for home brewers is classic stout styles (BJCP only).
The best beer from the night will be rebrewed commercially and put on tap at either moon underwater or punky Brewster.
The styles allowed are as follows (Imperial stout has been excluded due to excessive abv for the NZ Stout Challenge);
15B Irish Stout
15B Irish Extra Stout
16A Sweet Stout
16B Oatmeal Stout
16C Tropical Stout
16D Foreign Extra Stout
20B American Stout
Classic styles only, no Dessert style or pastry stouts will be eligible to win. No adjuncts (lactose is permitted in 16A).
