The Luncheon Topic for June is: How to Support Your Aging Parents
Our presenters are: Carol Harms, Executive Director, Senior Services of Central Illinois; Laura Meredith, Care Coordination Unit Director at Senior Services of Central Illinois; and Sandy Eisenmann, Senior Elder Care Advisor, Edwards Group, LLC
They will address, among other items:
* When to step in (recognizing the turning point)?
* Signs that an aging parent may need help.
* What’s normal aging vs. red flags (falls, confusion, missed medications).
* How to begin helping without overstepping.
* What do I need to have in place?
* What services are out there to help our aging parents?
In addition, members who work with seniors and their families on a daily basis will be in attendance, and will be available after the luncheon to answer attendees' questions.
