Charlie Musselwhite & Band at Musical Instrument Museum
7:30 p.m.
Master blues harmonica player and bandleader Charlie Musselwhite cut his musical teeth alongside Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, and others on the South Side of Chicago in the early 1960s. More than 60 years of nonstop performing and nearly 40 albums later, Musselwhite is at the top of his game and renowned worldwide, a revered elder statesman of the blues telling the truth with a voice and harp tone like no other. He is also a country blues guitarist of great warmth and subtlety, and his depth of expression as a singer, instrumentalist, and songwriter is unmatched and only growing deeper.
