Charley, Imrie and Jamo and the Hot Chocolate Factory

Come on out for the 4th Annual Hot Chocolate Factory! This year the kids, ages 11, 9 and 6, will be raising funds for 2 single moms who could use a financial boost to help create some stability for them and their children. They are sisters who have moved in together to try and make ends meet and share childcare responsibilities. The stand will have hot chocolate, lemonade, baked goods, and nachos this year. Tables and chairs will be set out to stay awhile and visit!
We also wanted to update on the families helped out in our last three hot chocolate factories. The first year we did this, we raised $3600 for a family of 7 who had a pending foreclosure looming on their house.They are still in their home and feeling much more stable! The second year we did this, $2100 was split between two single moms. The first was able to find a women's shelter to live in with her children and has recently been able to purchase a vehicle! The other was able to pay her rent and evade eviction for her and her 2 girls. She has relocated and welcomed another daughter to the world this year. Last year, $4,400 was collected for a mom of 2 who was welcoming her third child that weekend and experiencing homelessness. The money gave her some time in hotels to heal from birth and get back to work, and this summer she was able to move into an apartment with the children, and hopefully find a stable path forward.
We hope to have an amazing year of generosity from our community. We have a huge goal of raising $5000 this year! We came so close last year, and would love to have a personal best with this event and reach our goal! Please come out, enjoy some sweet treats or a nacho lunch and help serve these moms!
