About this Event
Join Clemson Extension, SC Sea Grant, the ACE Basin NERR for the Charleston Area Stormwater Pond Management Conference.
The Charleston Area Stormwater Pond Management Conference will provide a forum to give the latest information, resources, and tools on stormwater pond management for coastal communities. Topics will include brackish floating treatment wetlands, pesticide regulartions, best practices for pond buffers, new stormwater pond reseach, new AI tools, and, and more!
Who Should Attend: Stormwater pond management professionals, municipal managers, academic researchers, and stormwater education professionals
Date: Wednesday, March 11th 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site in West Ashley (1500 Old Towne Rd, Charleston, SC 29407)
The conference will include:
- Presentations and advice from local and regional experts in pond management
- Resource information and reference materials provided
- Lunch and refreshments
- Continuing Education Credits for SC Pesticide Applicators, Certified Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), PDHs for Professional Engineers, members of the SC Planning Education Advisory Committee, and the American Planning Association (AICP) - must attend conference in its entirety to earn maximum credits available.
Registration Cost: $100 per person
Registration is open through February 27th at 5:00 PM. Refunds cannot be issued once registration has closed.
Now Accepting Poster Abstracts!We invite professionals, students, and researchers to showcase innovative projects, case studies, and research in stormwater pond management. Poster presentations are a great opportunity to share your work, network with peers, and contribute to our shared knowledge on managing these vital systems.
