Charles Durer and Julie Jablonski at Pirate Contemporary Art Nov 8-24

Charles Durer presents "Places I've Been Things I've Seen and Done" twenty-four years of representational drawing and painting that he uses to investigate conventional and traditional methods of display questioning how viewer's and himself engage with art in the context of an art venue. Julie Jablonski's show "Pigeon" is about observation and liberation through limited options study in simplicity and staying focused in a moment – in this case emersion in delighting at a flock of pigeons and the beautiful patterns in their feathers. Her choices use a limited set of materials and practices; small collages through paper glue scissors and these moments of deep engagement. Guest artist space features works on paper by Hyde Chrastina.
