The Charles County Public Schools Agriculture and Environmental Career Fair is an exciting, one of a kind opportunity to inspire the next generation of Southern Maryland’s agricultural workforce. Designed for middle and high school students, this event goes far beyond traditional career talks. It is all about hands on exploration, discovery, and real world connection.
Students will step into the world of agriculture through live demonstrations, interactive displays, and engaging activities led by local businesses and organizations. From aquaculture to horticulture, agribusiness to advanced ag tech, students will experience just how diverse, innovative, and future focused today’s agriculture industry truly is. The goal is to expose students to as many aspects of agriculture as possible including Ag Law, Agri Business, Ag STEM, Ag AI, and more so they can see how many career pathways connect to this vital industry.
There is no cost to participate. The Charles County Fairgrounds has generously sponsored the space for this event. We anticipate welcoming approximately 400 to 600 students for a full day of exploration and inspiration.
We invite businesses, farms, and organizations across the agriculture sector to be part of this impactful experience. Each exhibitor is asked to provide an interactive demonstration or hands on activity that allows students to actively engage. Whether it is planting, building, testing, problem solving, or sampling, the more hands on the experience, the more powerful the impact.
