Character: Revising the Shape of the Narrative Fashion Show
The Poiema 2026 fashion show , Character: Revising the Shape of the Narrative, is a volunteered powered annual fashion show and fundraiser donating proceeds to impactful organizations addressing societal issues. This year's proceeds will be given to Heart and Soul'd, an organization that provides support for families in foster and adoptive care.
The theme for this event is inspired by the revision process in written work including books, plays, and stories. Each scene will represent a step in the revision process: Structure, Substance, Sequence, Style, and Spark. Together, they tell a story of transformation and the development of character—not only as a role in a narrative, but as the mental, moral, and distinctive qualities that shape an individual.
