Our programs are FREE and the public is welcome to attend!We meet on the third Thursday of each month, Sep-Nov and Jan-May at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center, 5:30-7:45 pm.
Come at 5:30 pm, Thursday, for refreshments and to socialize. NOTE: program begins at 6:15 pm, followed by the membership meeting at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center, 4601 South Nature Center Way, Springfield, MO 65807.
Birding By Ear, For Everyone. Donna Posant
Donna Posont arrived to University of Michigan-Dearborn as a blind, nontraditional student.
Needless to say, Donna faced some challenges early on in her college career.
That includes learning how to operate a computer with speech software in order to communicate with her professors.
But Donna wouldn’t let anything stand in the way of her dreams. So she pressed on toward her goal of sharing her love of nature with other blind people.
