With the outer ring contested and partially secured, the war spills into the labyrinthine urban canyons of Hive Karthax. Entire hab districts burn, and macro-transit arteries become armoured killing grounds as Loyalist and Traitor forces converge toward the embedded hulk of the Iron Reckoning.The cruiser’s wreck has split the hive vertically, creating a jagged wound of collapsed decks, reactor leaks, and hanging superstructure. Vox-intercepts confirm that fragments of the ship’s datacores and supply cogitators survived the crash. These contain fleet deployment routes, forge-world tithe manifests, and encrypted Mechanicum logistic protocols capable of redirecting entire war efforts.
Traitor armies seek to extract this intelligence to coordinate sector-wide uprisings and ambush Loyalist supply chains. Loyalists, in turn, must secure or purge the data before it can be weaponised against the Imperium.
Battles erupt in manufactorum plazas, transit causeways, and shrine districts as forces race to seize landing zones and staging grounds around the embedded cruiser hull. At which point, the war will take a darker, closer, far more sinister turn…
