Chapel Hill-Carrboro’s Juneteenth celebration returns with food, fun, music, and more! This year, the event is being held at Carrboro Town Commons, 301 W. Main St.
Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. The towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro jointly proclaim the observance and commemoration of Juneteenth, and encourage residents and employers to recognize the holiday.
