FREE COMMUNITY SERVICE + DIGITAL SKILLS PROGRAM

Channels for Charity is a community-service and digital-skills initiative powered by Channels.biz in partnership with Club Kids Inc.

The program provides structured opportunities for participants to complete meaningful community-service and digital activities while building real-world technology and professional skills.

🟢 SNAP / FOODSHARE PARTICIPANTS

If you are participating because you have been told that you need to complete work, volunteer service, training, or another activity connected to SNAP, FoodShare, ABAWD, FSET, workfare, or another government benefits program, Channels for Charity may provide structured activities that can be documented and verified.

Participants can work on activities such as:

🔎 RESEARCH
Research local organizations, businesses, nonprofits, schools, churches, programs, and community resources using publicly available information.

💻 BUILD
Create useful digital channels through Channels.biz that help organizations and community resources become easier to find online.

✅ VERIFY
Review information for accuracy and complete assigned work according to program procedures.

🤝 CONNECT
Help residents discover organizations, services, programs, events, and resources available in their community.

📱 TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION
Participants may also assist seniors and other community members with basic technology skills, including Android and Apple/iPhone phones, internet basics, online communication, and everyday digital tools.

📋 PARTICIPATION IS TRACKED

Channels for Charity uses Channels.biz to document program participation and completed activities, including:

• Completed assignments
• Digital channels created
• Channels reviewed or updated
• Participation dates
• Verified activities
• Assignment completion

When appropriate, participants may receive documentation showing their verified participation.

🎟️ FREE EVENT — LIMITED SESSIONS

There is NO COST to participate in Channels for Charity.

Most sessions require pre-registration.

Only 10 participant slots are available per session.

🏢 INFORMATION TABLES AVAILABLE

Community organizations, businesses, nonprofits, service providers, and other organizations can participate by reserving an information table for approximately $100.

Tables provide an opportunity to introduce your organization, programs, services, and resources to participants and the community.

We are looking for businesses, organizations, and community partners to sponsor Channels for Charity and help expand access to:

• Community service opportunities
• Digital-skills development
• Technology education
• Senior technology assistance
• Community resource connections
• Workforce and professional-skill development

⚠️ IMPORTANT SNAP / GOVERNMENT PROGRAM INFORMATION

Channels for Charity can track and document verified participation, but registration or participation does not automatically mean that your hours satisfy SNAP, FoodShare, ABAWD, FSET, workfare, or another government program requirement.

Government requirements are determined by the appropriate agency and may depend on your individual circumstances.

If you are participating because of a government benefits requirement, continue communicating with your caseworker or benefits agency and follow their instructions.
