Champions for Change: A health inequalities discussion
About this Event
Over the past year, our fantastic Peer Researchers have been exploring young people’s experiences of health inequalities and healthcare. They have developed and delivered workshops with young people to understand their experiences, views and feelings, while also speaking with professionals about the challenges they see and the work taking place to support young people and prevent inequalities.
We would love for you to join us for this all-day event, where we will come together to share and explore what our Peer Researchers have discovered.
Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to:
- Hear about the findings from our Peer Researchers’ research.
- Take part in interactive tabletop discussions.
- Join workshops exploring the issues affecting young people.
- Share experiences, ideas and potential solutions.
- Discuss how professionals and organisations can better support young people.
- Begin developing plans for meaningful and systemic change across the North East.
This event is an opportunity to have open and honest conversations about the health inequalities young people face, while creating a space for professionals to listen, reflect and consider what they can do differently in the future.
It is also a chance for us to celebrate the incredible work of our Peer Researchers, recognise the time and effort they have put into these important conversations, and give them a platform to continue influencing change.
Together, we can listen to young people, amplify their voices and work towards meaningful change that improves the health and wellbeing of young people across the North East.
Lunch will be provided.
We hope you can make it!
