Champion Your Wellness Health Fair
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — The Pearls of Service Foundation and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Pi Tau Omega Chapter, in partnership with Henry Ford Health, will host Champion Your Wellness: Take Charge of Your Health, a free community health fair on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City of Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road in Southfield.
The health fair is designed to empower individuals and families to take a more active role in their health by providing convenient access to preventive screenings, health education, medical professionals and community resources—all in one location.
Henry Ford Health professionals will provide health screenings and consultations. Screenings will include height, weight and Body Mass Index (BMI), as well as diabetic and glucose testing. Attendees will also have an opportunity to consult with specialists representing dermatology, podiatry, cardiology and oncology, as well as diabetes educators.
The Henry Ford Anthony Soave Mobile Mammography Screening Center will be onsite to provide mammography screenings for women age 40 and older without a prior breast condition. Screenings will be available on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis, with no appointment required. Most insurance plans are accepted, and assistance will be available for uninsured women.
A special panel discussion will focus on the increasingly popular use of GLP-1 medications. Panelists will discuss what GLP-1s are, common myths and facts, and the potential risks and benefits associated with their use.
Champion Your Wellness is about making health information and resources accessible while encouraging people to take charge of their health. Participants will leave the health fair with information, resources and connections that can be used to improve their health and the well-being of their families.
In addition to health services, numerous community health and human service organizations will be available to connect attendees with programs and resources. The event will also feature vendors, food trucks, prizes and other activities.
The health fair is free and open to the public.
