Experience incredible skiing and snowboarding, breathtaking mountain scenery, and the latest adventures from some of the world's best athletes on the big screen.
Showtimes: 6:00 PM & 8:30 PM
Location: Bear Tooth Theatrepub, Anchorage
We'll have plenty of door prizes, plus a drawing for a brand-new snowboard or set of skis at EACH showing! A portion of the proceeds benefit Challenge Alaska, supporting adaptive sports and recreation opportunities for people with disabilities throughout Alaska.
Whether you're a lifelong skier, snowboarder, or just love a great mountain adventure, join us for a fun evening celebrating winter and supporting a great cause!
About the Film: Actually, It Is Rocket Science is the newest chapter in TGR’s ongoing study of the fall line. Featuring Bute Inlet, British Columbia; Haines, Alaska; Japan; Finland; Andorra; Montana; Jay Peak, Vermont; and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the film follows the world’s best skiers as they turn each mountain into a laboratory and every descent into an experiment.
Athletes explore the intricacies of dissecting a big mountain line, the physics and amplitude of a massive gap, calculating transition, and the force of gravity.
So, is it rocket science—or is it not? Watch closely and decide for yourself.
About Challenge Alaska: Challenge Alaska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the lives of Alaskans living with disabilities through adaptive sports, therapeutic recreation and education.
