On May 13, we are thrilled to welcome The Challah Mom, Anat Isahi, to Vancouver for a large, interdenominational, cross-community women’s challah bake. We’ll be gathering at Beth Israel, with hopes of hosting the event in the beautiful community garden if the weather cooperates.
Anat’s mission is simple but powerful: to bring women from all walks of Jewish life together to strengthen one another—and in doing so, strengthen the next generation. She teaches challah baking as a form of therapeutic self-care, mindfulness, and spiritual grounding. This ritual helps us slow down, regulate our emotions during difficult times, and transform a familiar task into something deeply meaningful and sacred.
After years marked by grief, conflict, and collective trauma, this gathering is an intentional space for joy, connection, and togetherness. It is welcoming, apolitical, and rooted in shared tradition—a moment to exhale, to gather, and to remember the power of women coming together.
✨ All women are welcome. No prior baking experience needed—just an open heart. ✨
