Excitement is in the air! Get ready to be part of something special at the Friends of the Gibsonville Public Library's 4th Annual Chalk Walk & Read-A-Thon. It's an event like no other, and we want you to be there!
Come join us for an afternoon of creativity, community and a great cause. Our annual Chalk Walk & Read-A-Thon fundraiser brings together artists of all ages and abilities to create chalk masterpieces at Murrell Park Walking Path by the Gibsonville Community Center. Artists can reserve a "canvas" space of 3x5' on the walking path. All chalk is provided courtesy of Frozen Pines Tattoo. You provide the artistry.
This is a friendly, juried art event. Best in Show prizes awarded for all age categories.
Read-A-Thon participants will pledge to read for 30 minutes. Family and friends sponsor their time reading by making a donation to the Chalk Walk Fundraiser. The children will each have a "canvas" at the Chalk Walk after they finish their reading to create a masterpiece of their own!
Reserve your "canvas" today! Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all. This event is rain or shine! We have an indoor location if necessary!
