Join Alexandra Ginns, Pilates teacher and Reiki healer, for these special monthly Chakra Mat Pilates workshops. This session focuses on the Heart Chakra — the centre of compassion, the ability to give/receive, love and connection. Alex invites you to build a deeper relationship with yourself through mindful movement and breath.
Rooted in the energy of the Heart chakra, this two-hour experience supports clarity, motivation, and balanced effort. The workshop encourages you to connect to the centre of your being, moving with intention, and developing a deep sense of self within.
Pilates Class:
The Pilates segment works the whole body, with a gentle emphasis on the chest, shoulders, upper back, and thoracic spine — the physical areas associated with the heart chakra. Expect flowing, expansive movements and breath-led sequences designed to improve posture, mobility, and ease through the upper body. Imagery will focus on opening to receive and make space for love for yourself, and balance, encouraging openness while maintaining stability and support. Props will be used throughout to support and adapt the practice, making the workshop accessible to all levels and abilities whether you are new to Pilates or have previous experience.
Guided Meditation, Reiki & Journaling:
Alongside movement, there will be a grounding educational and reflective segment where Alexandra will guide you through the meaning and themes of the heart chakra. This includes space for questions and answers, guided journalling, and oracle card picking, allowing time for reflection, clarity, and intuitive insight.
The workshop will close with a calming guided meditation, designed to clear stagnant energy, soothe the nervous system, and support a more balanced and open relationship with your heart chakra.
What do I bring?
All equipment is provided, though you’re very welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Perhaps you may want to bring a journal for notes to write down your thoughts/experiences throughout the workshop. After the workshop, drinks and snacks are available to purchase in the café, offering a gentle return to the rest of your day.
