Have you ever wanted to participate in a yoga class but felt you were not flexible enough, too fat, too old, poor balance, self-conscious, can not get up and down from the floor, or any other reason you have staying away?
Has a yoga class been too hard for you and you could not keep up?
Everyone can reap the benefits of yoga (better breathing, balance, stronger body, more relaxed) and have a good laugh at the same time in this class with Jean who has been teaching yoga to people of all ages (2-95), all sizes, many medical conditions, all abilities (yes, even people in bed) for the last 20 years. She has the ability to modify postures for all and everyone gets what they need in a supportive, nurturing environment. We use the chair and wall for support when doing stretches.
Jean, a certified Yoga instructor for more than 20 years, has taken many training courses, including some specifically for seniors:
- Integrative Yoga for Seniors Professional Training in North Carolina
- Silver Age Yoga Teacher Training in San Diego.
Classes will begin on October 01, 2024 and will be held every Tuesday until November 19, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
