This Introduction to Chair Yoga training is designed for qualified Yoga Teachers.

The training comprises 4.5 hours at the studio, plus 1.5 hours of homework, and will qualify as 6 hours CPD training.

This training is led by studio owner and EYT500 teacher Allison. The in-person training will include led practice, theory, adaptation of poses and sequencing, as well as some in-person teaching practice. Trainees will be required to prepare and deliver one Chair Yoga teaching practice externally to complete the training.
Please note that due to the individual nature of our special workshops and trainings, this fee is non-refundable. Please do check availability before signing up to the training.
This training is recognised by Yoga Alliance as 6 hours CPD.
Allison is an award winning studio owner and yoga teacher, who has been teaching Chair Yoga for more than 7 years. She brings a wealth of experience of teaching this inclusive, accessible practice to this CPD course. The ethos of Hot Yoga Edinburgh is that yoga is for Every Body, and that Every Body is different. At HYE we teach Functional Yoga, which means that we understand that yoga postures will look and feel different for people. We teach in a way that encourages our students to be kind to themselves, and adapt poses to their own body. Chair Yoga allows us to further adapt poses in a way that is very inclusive and accessible. Knowledge of this style of yoga can be life-changing, allowing people to join a yoga class who would otherwise be excluded.
