About this Event
Welcome to Chai Chats – a South Asian listening project! Let’s sip on some chai, share our stories, and chat about what matters most to our community.
This space is for us – for the diaspora, by the diaspora.
Over chai, let's talk about:
- What kind of future we want for our kids, our elders and and our earth
- Your stories about nature and ancestral connections to the land
- How climate change and disasters like floods and heat domes are affecting our lives - here and back home
- What we can do to protect our community
You can expect a casual, friendly conversation facilitated by your hosts at the Climate Roundtable for South Asian Diasporas – and free chai and snacks!
No experience needed, just a desire to connect with your community. So bring your mom, dad, aunties, uncles – anyone whose stories, strength, and sacrifices brought us to where we are today.
Chai Chats is part of a larger campaign to center South Asian experiences and priorities in community climate action across the Lower Mainland. Together, our voices are powerful - let’s make sure they are heard!
