Chad Carson returned to the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region in 2021 and brings more than 16 years of economic development experience from the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region, Greater Houston Partnership, and CenterPoint Energy.
Over the course of his career, Chad has helped secure projects representing:
- More than 80,000 direct and indirect jobs
- More than $3 billion in capital investment across the Houston region
What He Does
Chad leads the Alliance’s economic development efforts by:
- Supporting companies seeking to locate or expand in the Houston Port Region
- Building a strong project pipeline
- Delivering strategic solutions

Why It Matters
Chad’s primary focus is the Houston Ship Channel, one of the world’s most significant industrial and logistics corridors. A graduate of the University at Buffalo’s School of Architecture & Planning, Chad has called Houston home for more than 18 years and remains a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan.
