Music for the Ocean is a set of new compositions and improvisations by violinist/composer Chad Cannon, performed alongside pianist Hui Wu, featuring brand-new animations by Timothy Rauch, with audio/stage direction by William Chen and lighting design by Evan Murnane. This concert evokes the ocean and all its complex marine life through music, animation, and sound design. The show raises awareness about the efforts of Tela Coral, a nonprofit fighting to preserve critically endangered coral reef species. An ocean science panel / Q&A will follow, with USC coral scientist Dr Carly Kenkel, and Tela Coral co-founder Tiffany Duong
