A Little Cha-Cha Slide History
Chicago DJ Willie Perry Jr., better known as DJ Casper, created the original “Casper Slide” in 1998 for an aerobics class taught by his nephew. Its easy-to-follow dance instructions quickly caught on, leading to “Casper Slide Part 2” in 2000. The song became an international sensation and reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom in 2004. Today, the “Cha-Cha Slide” remains a favorite at skating rinks, weddings, parties, schools, and celebrations around the world. Learn more about DJ Casper and the song’s history.
Everyone must purchase admission to enter. Everyone on the skating floor must have their own skates or purchase a skate rental.
