Join us for ASC Society’s annual kickoff event, CFO State of the Nation: Finance in Times of Uncertainty, where we examine how environmental and geopolitical instability is reshaping industries and the pivotal role CFOs play in navigating this new reality.

This year’s theme, “Navigating Environmental and Geopolitical Changes: Scaling and Financing the Energy Transition,” highlights the growing importance of energy security in Europe, shifting political priorities, and the financial leadership required in capital-intensive, listed companies operating under uncertainty.

Our keynote speaker, Line Andrea Fandrup, CFO of NKT, will share her insights on leading finance in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape. Drawing on NKT’s transformation journey, Line will discuss the evolving role of the CFO and executive management in balancing political interests, commercial imperatives, and long-term value creation, while financing and scaling the energy transition.

Following the keynote, the event will continue with a panel discussion featuring representatives from our corporate partners, expanding on themes such as strategic financing, risk mitigation, and decision-making under uncertainty. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly through questions and discussion.

We will conclude the evening with informal networking over a light dinner and drinks, providing an opportunity to connect with fellow students, alumni, and industry professionals.
