CFA Society New Zealand is delighted to announce Investment Summit 2026: Geopolitics & Global Markets—our new flagship event bringing together leading global and New Zealand investment professionals to explore the forces shaping today's investment landscape.
From geopolitical conflict and great power competition to artificial intelligence, trade fragmentation and energy security, the world is changing at an unprecedented pace. Understanding these shifts has never been more important.
Designed for investment professionals, institutional investors and business leaders, the Summit will explore what these developments mean for investment strategy, portfolio construction and long-term capital allocation through keynote presentations, expert discussion and practical insights.
We're delighted to welcome internationally recognised geopolitical strategist Hagai M. Segal as our keynote speaker. Hagai will be joined by leading New Zealand investment professionals, with additional speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.
The Summit will be hosted by Liam Dann, Business Editor-at-Large at the New Zealand Herald, and will conclude with the Investment Leaders Lunch, providing an opportunity to continue the discussion and connect with peers, speakers and senior investment professionals.

Investment Summit 2026 – Terms & Conditions
Registration and Payment: Registrations are confirmed once payment has been received. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated.
Substitutions and Cancellations: If you are no longer able to attend, registrations may be transferred to another person before the event by notifying CFA Society New Zealand in writing. As catering costs are committed in advance, registration fees are non-refundable.
Event Changes or Cancellation: CFA Society New Zealand reserves the right to make changes to the programme, speakers or event arrangements where necessary. If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond our control, registration fees will be refunded in full.
Code of Conduct: CFA Society New Zealand reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the event, any person whose behaviour is considered inappropriate, disruptive or poses a risk to others.
Photography: Photography and video recording may take place during the event and may be used by CFA Society New Zealand for promotional purposes. By registering, you consent to the use of these images unless you advise us otherwise before the event.
