Certified Good Vibes: Club Congress 10th Anniversary Exhibition

On Tuesday, February 4th, from 6p - 9p, COMMONWEAL art gallery is excited to host a one-night-only exhibition of Club Congress’ promotional flyers to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Philly’s staple house music party.

Club Congress was started in 2015 by DJ Matpat, Tony x Mont, and friends to bring a fresh new sound to the underground dance community of Philadelphia. Over the past decade they have hosted some amazing DJs & performers such as DJ Slugo, Oliver Dollar, and DJ Minx while collaborating with spaces and organizations such as Little Berlin, The Dolphin Tavern, Jupiter Disco and Warehouse on Watts.

Throughout their 10 years, local Philadelphia-based artist “Bad” has illustrated Club Congress’ promotional flyers. This exhibition is not only a celebration of the amazing music and people this homegrown dance-party has brought together but also Bad’s unique style of illustration whose whimsy and playfulness sets the tone for visitors.
