CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team and is a program developed by FEMA to help prepare residents to take care of themselves and others in the event of an emergency. The initial course is called Basic CERT and consists of 20 hours of training in Disaster Preparedness, First Aid, Search and Rescue, Fire Safety, Disaster Psychology, and more. Once you have completed the Basic CERT course, you will have the information and skills you need to prepare your family and help out a neighbor during a disaster.
Training is for ages 18+
Full Completion of course required.
Completion does not guarantee placement on Redford Jaycees CERT
