Whether youโre looking for a new hobby, to increase your fitness in a fun way, or to meet new people and grow your social circle, Ceroc is the one for you! Ceroc is super easy to get started with, and our teaching methods make learning to dance social and fun, in a friendly and easy-going environment where the emphasis is on having a good time.
This Beginners Day will give you the opportunity to get a feel for a class night venue, amongst other beginners, where you will meet Ceroc Somerset team, learn the basics of Ceroc and experience the fun community spirit that we pride ourselves on at Ceroc.
And if you love it โ which weโre sure you will! โ you can join us at our class nights, held every Monday night at the same location.

- People who have never danced or been to a Ceroc class before. Itโs a great way to get a taste for what Ceroc is all about before joining the class. Youโll learn the same material in this one afternoon as you would in your first two class nights, so you could see it as a โfast trackโ for your Ceroc dancing.
- People who have maybe done a few classes in the past and are looking to get back into it and want to familiarise themselves with some Ceroc beginner moves. Let us refresh your memory on whatโs to love about Ceroc!

This Beginners Day is held at our usual class night venue, The Grand Atlantic Hotel. This means you can get a feel for the environment and suss out your surroundings before joining the class on Monday nights. The timings for the event are 1pm-4pm, but you're welcome to arrive from 12.45pm to get checked in and settled before we begin. The car park at the hotel is free for our visitors, but please pop your number plate in the terminal at the hotel reception to register this.

You will learn all the basics of Ceroc dancing as well as a handful of Ceroc moves. Youโll learn to confidently lead or follow a dance, as well a getting a feel for how a Ceroc class works. The 3 hour event will be split in 3 focused sections, with plenty of breaks and social time.

You can come along with a friend or a partner, or go solo. Ceroc is a social dance, which means we get to rotate around the room dancing with others, which is a great way of socialising with others and meeting new people in a completely relaxed and pressure-free way. Many current Ceroc dancers start going to weekly classes on their own and feel right at home straight away.

There's no specific clothing or footwear to wear for Ceroc. All we ask if that you wear something comfortable and not restrictive. You donโt need any special dance shoes, but we advise you to avoid anything with grippy soles (i.e. running trainers) so you can move around the dance floor easily and safely.
