-Introduction to Bodhrán with Todd Menton (we provide the bodhráns)
-Introduction to Irish Fiddle for Violinists with Mary Vanorny
-Introduction to Irish Harp for Absolute Beginners with Hannah Flowers, 1pm and 3:15pm.
3:15pm-4:30pm (75 minutes)
-Introduction to Pub Songs with Todd Menton
-Introduction to Turlough O'Carolan for all instruments with Chad McAnally
Registration is open for our cozy, winter edition of Ceol agus Craic (pronounced ky-ohl agus crack), meaning “Music and Fun” featuring a host of introductory music workshops.
**We will provide the instruments for the Intro to Harp and Intro to Bodhrán workshops**
Enjoy an unforgettable afternoon of traditional Irish music, featuring hands-on workshops, an open session, and plenty of opportunities to learn, play, and connect. Whether you’re brand-new to Irish music or a current student eager to try something different, Ceol agus Craic offers something for everyone.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Introductory 75-minute music workshops at 1pm and 3:15pm
- Traditional Irish session led by CIM instructors and community musicians at 2:15pm (all are welcome) with tea and treats
