Welcome to the Central Park Plant Walk - Halloween Edition!

Looking for a truly unique and spooky way to celebrate Halloween? Leave the pumpkin patch behind and join us for a two-hour journey into the darker, more mysterious side of Central Park's botanical world!

This isn't your average nature stroll. We'll be walking through the picturesque and winding paths of The Ramble, Central Park's most secluded woodland area. Your guides will focus on the fascinating world of witchy, magical, and sometimes poisonous plants that have fueled folklore and fear for centuries.

• Folklore & Magic: Learn about the history of plants used in spells, charms, and ancient rituals.
• Witchcraft Botany: Uncover the secrets of highly toxic plants, how they were used in traditional remedies (and poisons!), and their role in local legends.
• Hidden History: Discover how the plants right under your nose have been central to stories of magic, medicine, and mischief.

We highly encourage you to come dressed in your most creative, spooky, or witchy costume! The best costume of the day will win an herbal prize. Let your imagination run wild—whether you're a classic witch, a mythical creature, or a poisonous nightshade plant, we want to see it!

• Duration: 2 hours (4pm-6pm)
• Where: The Ramble, Central Park (Meeting spot is the Oak Bridge).
• What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, and your amazing costume!

We will meet at the Oak Bridge (before crossing into the Ramble). Your guides will have a sign that says " Central Park Plant Walk - Halloween Edition".
