The Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans is excited to announce that thanks to generous grant providers, we are able to offer a 2026 regional conference free of charge to our Central Illinois Members!
This conference will be a one day educational event hosted at IBEW 197 in Bloomington, Illinois on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.

Attendees will engage with local labor history with the Illinois Labor History Society, hear from local labor leaders on various labor actions and topics relevant to Central Illinois, hear about legislative priorities from Illinois ARA and Citizen Action Illinois, participate in care conversations with Caring Across Generations, and learn how to create story telling media to share your experiences via social media, video, and letters to the editor!
A boxed lunch will be provided to all participants and there will be chances to win door prizes!
Registration is open now through September 9th and participation is limited to 100 people!
