Join us in celebrating the opening of Centra—a new community event for movement, music, creativity, and connection.
This opening gathering is an invitation to slow down, connect with yourself, and experience the power of ecstatic dance. Whether ecstatic dance is a familiar practice or your very first experience, you are welcome exactly as you are.
What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a free-form movement practice—an invitation to move however your body wants to move.
As the music evolves, many people find themselves becoming more present. The constant mental chatter begins to soften, movement becomes more intuitive, and the body has an opportunity to express what words often cannot.
The Flow
We'll begin with an opening circle and playful warm-up activities before Father Otter transitions us into a two-hour ecstatic dance journey.
Creative and expressive arts spaces will be available as invitations to create visual art, journal, or simply pause in quiet reflection. You're encouraged to move between dance and creativity as your experience unfolds.
We'll close our journey with a restorative sound bath, offering space to integrate the experience before sharing mocktails and conversation.

Community Agreements
• Move in whatever way feels authentic to you - find your freedom.
• Keep conversations to a minimum and off of the dance floor.
• Please silence phones and refrain from photography during the dance.
• Respect your body, your “yes” and your “no”, and those of others.
• Participation is always an invitation—you are welcome to dance, create, rest, or simply observe.
Sliding Scale: $20-40
Optional to bring: Journal, pen, yoga mat, blanket, water bottle, and comfortable clothing for movement.

The name Centra is inspired by the centra—the strong, drum-shaped bodies of the vertebrae that form the spine. Together, they create the central pillar of the body, supporting our center of gravity and providing the stability that allows us to move with freedom, fluidity, and ease.
In the same way, we envision Centra as a place that helps us reconnect with our own center—a space where community becomes our foundation, and movement and creativity invite us to explore life with greater authenticity and flow.
