90’s Lowrider Bicycle Build Off:
STEP 1: Post a picture of your frame on the page (This will lock you into the build off)
STEP 2: Post pictures of Progress on frame modifications throughout the process.
STEP 3: Post Pictures of your Raw Parts and follow up pics along the process
STEP 4: Bring Bicycle and $50 Cash to the Central Texas Bicycle Show (August 2026)
WINNER TAKES ALL!!!
Build Off Rules:
1. FRAME - Must be a vintage 16” or 20” frame. Schwinn, Huffy, or Western Flyer
2. WHEELS - Must be Spokes
No Blade Wheels
No More than One Bend Per Spoke
3. ENGRAVING - Minor engraving (up to 4 parts) No 2 Tone Plating of Engraved Parts
4. FRAME MODIFICATIONS - Minimal 2 Frame mods, 3 max.
Body work Required
5. PARTS - Original Schwinn parts, Period Correct Parts or custom hand made parts are acceptable. Double Twisted Max
6. ELECTRONICS - Must be period correct. No Bluetooth
7. SPROCKET - Must be period correct.
8. UPHOLSTRY- Seat must be period correct, can be original or reupholstered.
9. DISPLAY- Must be built with Period Correct Materials. No LEDs or Flat Screen TVs
Must not exceed 8x8
10. No Trailers or Trike Kits
11. Must be Ridable
