Join us for a vibrant day of traditional skills, community connection, and seasonal celebration — all set in our beautiful orchard and heritage barn space.What’s happening on the day:
🍎 Orchard Tours – Learn about the old orchard, our fruit trees, and how the land is managed with care and respect.
🌿 Greenwood Turning – See how freshly cut wood is shaped into useful and beautiful items using a foot-powered pole lathe.
🪵 Timber Framing Demonstrations – See heritage carpentry techniques in action.
🌾 Cob Building & Natural Plastering – Watch skilled hands at work using local earth and traditional methods.
🧱 Cob Sculpture – View our evolving Lammas goddess sculpture at the orchard entrance.
🛠️ Tool Sharpening & Restoration – Learn how to bring your old garden tools back to life.
🌱 Get Ideas for Orchard Fruit Preservation - watch apple pressing the hands-on approach.
🎶 Live Music in the Orchard – Relax under the trees and soak in the sounds.
🎨 Children’s Activities & Crafty Corner – Nature-based fun for younger visitors.
🍰 Refreshments – Bring a picnic and your own flask/drink, or enjoy Mint tea and cake on site.
✨ Meet the Makers – Chat with our volunteers and craftspeople about the work we do and how you can get involved.
This event is free to attend and made possible with support from Mid Suffolk District Council. Donations to support our work are warmly welcomed.
