Celebration of Magney-Snively Natural Area- St. Louis County, MN
About this Event
Join us as we welcome Magney-Snively Natural Area into the Old-Growth Forest Network! Encompassing nearly 1,800 acres, this natural area north of Bardon’s Peak is well-known for its old growth hardwood forest. In addition to the old growth hardwoods, the area also contains a diverse landscape of wetlands, streams, uplands, and bedrock outcrops, making Magney-Snively Natural Area perhaps the most ecologically significant and high-quality natural area in an urban setting within Minnesota.
Please meet at the trailhead parking lot at 10:00 am on September 29th for an hour-and-a-half guided experience on the Superior Hiking Trail.
