As the longest night of the year approaches, let’s come together to honor the return of the light and embrace the hope it brings. This magical evening will include mindful ritual, energizing movement, delicious food, and a festive gift exchange—everything you need to nourish your spirit and connect with community!
What to Expect:
- Grounding Meditation: We’ll begin with a calming meditation to center ourselves and set intentions for the evening.
- Opening Sacred Space: Step into sacred space as we create a container for our celebration.
- Movement & Reiki: Flow through a series of sun salutations with Jamie, connecting breath to movement as we stoke our inner fire. Kimberly will offer hands-on Reiki to enhance your experience, bringing a soothing energy as you move.
- Simmer Pot Ritual: Kimberly will guide us in creating an intentional simmer pot using herbs and plants that symbolize warmth and renewal. You’ll leave with a jar of your own to simmer at home on Winter Solstice, filling your space with healing aromas.
- Savasana: Rest in stillness with a deeply restorative savasana, soaking in the healing energy of Reiki.
- Potluck & Gift Exchange: Share a meal together! Bring a dish to contribute to the potluck and a small, yoga-inspired gift ($10-$15) for our fun and light-hearted gift exchange.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS:
Jamie Martell
Jamie Martell believes in the magic of yoga, the ultimate in shifting perception within yourself, your family, and the community. After over 18 years of personal practice and almost 5,000 teaching hours, she is still enchanted with the practice of yoga and how it continues to evolve as a practice, lifestyle, and spiritual path. Jamie believes the key to practicing yoga is to take it off the mat and into your everyday life.
Jamie teaches accessible, modern yoga that is steeped in traditional yogic values and philosophy which involves a system that moves beyond just the postures. Jamie is a certified teacher of The Kaivalya Yoga Method (TKYM). The primary principles and practices of TKYM are ritual, alchemy, mythology, psychology, and journey of the hero. Jamie is registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level (E-RYT 500) and is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). Jamie is the owner of Our Sacred Space Yoga in Hartsville, SC, Art Education Director at Black Creek Arts, and designer of Malas by Jamie. Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and is an Ordained Minister.
Kimberly Rose

Kimberly Rose is a Reiki Master, Yoga Teacher, Women’s Circle Facilitator. In addition to these, she is a Signature Facilitator and Culinary Creatrix for Cloud 9 Retreats. Kimberly has been an attuned Reiki practitioner since 2018. She completed her 200 Hour YTT with Our Sacred Space Yoga School in Hartsville, SC in 2020. She received training from Her Sacred Circle Facilitator Program in 2022 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Additionally, she has also completed specialized training in Yin Yoga through Authentic Yoga Teacher Training of Scottsdale, AZ.
Kimberly specializes in energetic shifts and aims to assist her students and clients identify external and internal stressors so they can begin to clear them from the mind, body, and spirit. This process of releasing what no longer serves you creates space to bring your desires into reality. She will guide you on your journey and help you to discover how to honor your Human form while remembering you are also Divine. Kimberly is dedicated to her clients/students and their investigation of energy, yoga, and personal power.
