Please join me on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 2026, for a tubing trip, celebration of life, and ashes release in honor of Joe Surman.
We will be floating from Thornapple Access Launch to Newaygo. The trip is expected to last roughly 4 hours, depending on water conditions.
For anyone who needs to rent a tube or kayak, please meet at Wisner’s Canoes at 10:00 AM to pay for your rental. The shuttle bus will leave Wisner’s at 10:30 AM sharp and take everyone to Thornapple Access Launch.

For anyone bringing their own tube or kayak, please meet directly at Thornapple Access Launch. A DNR parks tag is required if you park there, and tags can be purchased at the parking area.
