🙏 Celebration of Life — Billy Jones & Curt Watts

If there’s a lake in heaven these two are most certainly sitting on a pontoon boat smack in the middle of it either having a spirited political debate or possibly trying to dazzle the other with bullshit.
Curt often shared his worldly advice.
“Youth and exuberance is no match for age and treachery.”
“You gotta be tough to live in the West.”
And,
“That’s better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.”
I can still hear his voice saying, “I’m proud of you.”
Billy started every conversation with “Dude…” and ended most of them with a Step Brothers quote, or proof that you’d never beat him at pool.
“You’re only as good as your last game, Brando.” Followed by a bellowing laugh that would turn heads.
He always ended our phone conversations with, “I love you, man.” He was truly my brother and I will miss him dearly.
They came into my life differently, but left the same mark. Curt brought Billy and me together when he married Gwen. We were just teenage knuckleheads and neither of us would be the men we became without him. Although admittedly, Billy and I were still works in progress.
Thank you to Curt and Gwen for your immeasurable love and support throughout those pivotal years. We love you and appreciate you.
In 16 months, we lost Curt and Billy. That’s a very hard sentence to write.
But they left us with plenty of stories. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
