Our Pixie Circle welcomes you to our Yule Celebration at 12pm on Friday 19th december, meeting at Waltham House Studio, Towncross Avenue PO212DS
We will be sharing our Yule ritual with singing and words for everyone to join in, welcoming the sun back at the darkest time of the year and celebrating the warmth of community in the cold. This year we will be invoking the yuletide energy of the goddess Fionnuala.
Yule is the celebration of the winter solstice on the wheel of the year, the shortest day of year. This is the time of the year that we can transform into the next chapter in our lives.
We will be sharing stories of the Goddess Fionnuala, who was cursed to live 900 years as a swan. Fionnuala was the daughter of Lir, the same Manannán McLire that we celebrated at Summer Solstice. We might like to bring along symbols of water or swans to add to the altar.
You're welcome to bring along rattles and bells, so you can join in with the ritual. You might also like to wear your favourite hat or mask, anything that makes you feel special and magical.
We will be meeting at 12pm to run through our ritual and prepare ourselves. The ritual will start at 1pm. There will be no admittance after this time.
Feel free to stay for our tea party. Bring along seasonal cakes and biscuits to share. Everyone is welcome back to my house for music, singing and dancing.
Find us at the Waltham House studios on the corner of Towncross Avenue and Chichester Road. There is plenty of parking further down Towncross Avenue outside the cemetery. The studio is 10 minutes walk from the train station. The 700 bus stops at Somerset Gardens/Ambulance station just outside the studio.
There is is a suggested donation of £5 towards the upkeep of the gallery.
