About this Event
Join us for a powerful and inspiring evening of celebration and reflection as we honor the legacy, contributions, and ongoing work of Black leaders in sustainability. "Celebrating the Stewards of Earth: Blacks in Sustainability" is a Black History Month event dedicated to highlighting the role of Black communities and individuals in the fight for environmental justice, sustainable practices, and community resilience.
This special event will showcase the rich history of sustainability in African and African diasporic cultures, emphasizing the vital contributions of Black innovators, thought leaders, and activists. In partnership with HABESHA, Inc., we will also spotlight the upcoming 2025 Black Sustainability Summit in Ghana, a transformative event aimed at advancing Black leadership in global sustainability efforts.
This event is open to all Atlantans, BSN members, and anyone passionate about sustainability and environmental justice. Guests from the SOWTH Conference that identify as Black, Afro-indigenous and African-American are welcome. It’s a celebration of Black heritage, leadership, and the vision of a sustainable future for generations to come.
