Please join us as we come together to celebrate the life of Russ Wheeler, share memories, tell stories, enjoy some good food, and remember a man who meant so much to so many.
All family and friends are welcome! Whether you knew Russ for a lifetime or just a little while, we would love to have you join us.
📅 Saturday, November 7, 2026
🕓 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (or longer!)

A few things as we prepare:
❤️ Please RSVP through this Facebook event so we can plan accordingly and make sure we have plenty of food for everyone.
📸 Pictures & Memories: If you have pictures of Russ you’d like to share ahead of time, please text them to 608-617-4147. We’d love to gather as many memories as possible!
🍽️ Food: If you’d like to help by bringing a dish to pass, please comment on this event so we can coordinate. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated!
🏨 Traveling from out of town? Over the next few days, I’ll be adding links to hotels in Portage, the closest town, along with some Airbnb and VRBO options for anyone needing overnight accommodations.
This isn’t meant to be a sad or formal gathering. It’s an opportunity to be together, share a few laughs, maybe tell a fishing story or two, and celebrate the life Russ lived and the memories he leaves behind.
We know he would have loved nothing more than having his family and friends together, enjoying good food, good company, and probably a little storytelling. ❤️
We hope to see you there. And if you have a favorite Russ story, please bring it along! 🎣
