Celebration of Older People – Free Community Event
As part of this year’s Older People’s Celebration week, Hessle Town Council is inviting older residents to come and enjoy live entertainment and refreshments at Hessle Town Hall on Friday 3rd October, 10am – 2pm.
This free community event is a great way to meet new people and there will be performances from community choirs, professional dancers, and much more – with lots of fun opportunities to get involved too.
There will also be over 15 stands hosted by local community groups and organisations available to explore, helping you to discover a wide range of services and activities that are available in our area.
Living with water, ERYC Lifeline, Parkinsons UK, Sight Support HEY, Age UK HEY, Yorkshire Energy Doctor, The Alzheimers Society, East Riding Carers Support, NHS Your Health, HEY Mind, All Saints Church, Hey Smile Foundation, Hessle U3A, Hessle Short Mat Bowling, Hessle History Society, Lawnmower Society,
Hessle Sporting, Royal Scottish Country Dancing, Hessle Community Organisation, CHAT (communities helping all together)
Hot and cold drinks will be available to purchase for a £1 donation and all monies raised will be donated to the Mayor of Hessle’s civic charity of the year, CHAT (Community Helping All Together).
No tickets are required, and family, friends and carers are welcome too.
