About this Event

Gather with Friends: An Evening Celebrating Friends of Wisconsin State Parks at Granite Peak Celebrating Wisconsin’s public lands—and the people who care for them.

Join Friends of Wisconsin State Parks and our community partner, Visit Wausau, for an evening of celebrating 30 years of supporting Wisconsin’s most cherished public lands conversation. Hosted at Granite Peak Ski Hill.

Meet the people behind a statewide network of 65 Friends groups supporting Wisconsin’s state parks, forests, trails, and recreation areas. Discover how neighbors become volunteers, visitors become advocates, and a shared love of an outdoor place becomes a community.

Enjoy:

· A silent auction featuring goods contributed by Friends groups and Visit Wausau

· Live music

· Food and beverages

· A chance to meet Smokey Bear and take a photo together!

Whether you’re a regular trail explorer, a curious neighbor, or someone looking for a way to get involved, you’re welcome here. Share your favorite Wisconsin outdoor memories, meet new Friends, and learn how you can help care for the places you love.
