Celebrating Creggan Graveyard
About this Event
In 1480, the O'Neills of Tyrone invaded South Armagh and conquered the Barony of the Fews. In the middle of this wooded wildnerness, lay the townland of Creggan and here they build their Church. At the Cromwellian confiscation the O'Neill land was taken and the present Church of Ireland was built in 1759.
Our event will through stories, music and poetry capture the lives of all creeds and classes and from all walks of life who rest in Creggan Graveyard.
Princes, poets, priests, parsons to paupers - divided perhaps in life, united again in death
