Celebrating Black History Month Pop Up Market in West Norwood

We celebrate Black History Month, and are excited to organise to pop up markets in the heart of West Norwood. We have come a long way as we mark the 76th anniversary of the Windrush. The Windrush generation come to Britain when the government invited people of African and Carribean decent to the UK as they needed workers to help fill post-war labour shortages and rebuild the economy. Several of them had degrees, however many of them who arrived became manual workers, drivers, cleaners, and nurses in the newly established NHS.

There are so many talented and creative black businesses all over the globe, My Pop Up Events organises pop up markets in october every year to celebrate and support black businesses as they showcase and sell their beautiful collection to a wider audience.

My Pop Up Events are thrilled to celebrate and commemorate the national milestone, we are organising a platform to empower, support and inspire Black Businesses locally of African and Caribbean descent to sell their creativity, talent and resources to a captive audience in the heart of West Norwood.
