The Indio Black History Committee, in partnership with the City of Indio, Desert Recreation District, and Indio Food Truck Fridays, invites you to a vibrant celebration of Black History Month on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 12-5PM at Center Stage, 82881 Miles Avenue in Downtown Indio. This exciting event is free and open to the public, offering a day filled with activities, culture, and entertainment for the whole community.
The Black History Month celebration will feature games for all ages, delicious food from local vendors, a variety of unique shopping opportunities from community vendors, guest speakers sharing inspiring stories, resource booths offering valuable information, panel discussions on important topics, live music and performances, and much more.
Stay into the evening for Second Saturdays, Indio’s free monthly concert series. From 6-9PM, Center Stage will come alive with the soulful sounds of the E&J Movement, performing the greatest hits of Motown. This is the perfect way to continue the celebration and enjoy a night of dancing, music, and community connection.
