Celebrating Black History Month

Welcome to the Celebrating Black History Month event: Reclaiming Narratives

Join us on Fri Nov 01 2024 at 08:00 AM at the Lecture Theatre Hall City Hospital Postgraduate Education Centre as the Race Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Staff network celebrate the rich history and achievements of our Black, African and Carribbean community.

This event will feature interactive sessions, engaging panel discussions on the theme, unveiling the new brand of our network, Black Hisoty in the Arts, and more. This celebration is for NUH colleagues to honor and learn about the contributions of Black individuals throughout history.

Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate diversity and Inclusion. Let's come together to recognise and appreciate the impact of Black history on our society.

When booking your place, do consider whether you will be able to attend the entire session or if you would like to drop in for either the first half or the second half of the session. Please use your work email address only to register.

There will be a free choice of main courses from the African/Caribbean menu, provided for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, including dessert.

• Nigerian Shin of Beef stew with sweet potato and jollof rice
• Jerk chicken leg with Rice & Peas
• Spicy Bean & Jambalaya rice & southern sauce
• Mac N Cheese with Caribbean slaw
• Deserts: Pineapple upside down cake, Coconut cake and Fresh fruit platter- cut up pieces.
