Fortnum & Mason are proud to work with a number of skilled artists, makers and producers. Every Saturday they invite one of these experts to their Food & Drink Studio space to showcase their wares.
On Saturday 8th November, the Food & Drink Studio welcomes Reverend Hubert for a special tasting event showcasing their exquisite limited-edition Christmas liqueurs. We are also delighted to have Tom Lester, founder of Reverend Hubert, joining us to personally guide you through the tasting experience.
Sample two exceptional festive creations:
- Fortnum’s Clementine & Juniper Mulling Syrup — a sophisticated blend combining the earthy aroma of juniper with warming notes of ginger and clove, brightened by cranberry and sweet clementine for a perfectly balanced, versatile infusion.
- Fortnum’s Toasted Panettone & Saffron Liqueur — crafted in the UK with inspiration from Italy’s classic Panettone, this rich liqueur features British wheat spirit, crystallised fruits, juicy raisins, and delicate saffron, offering a luxurious palate of candied citrus, buttery dough, and floral warmth.
During the session, Tom Lester will provide tasting samples and share expert insights on how to create exceptional festive drinks using these unique liqueurs — from warming winter cocktails to sophisticated aperitifs.
This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your appreciation of these carefully crafted spirits and discover new ways to elevate your seasonal entertaining.

About Reverend Hubert:
Reverend Hubert was established in 1905 when Hubert Lester had a mixed race congregation who needed to get to know each other better. Hubert chose to make liqueurs and host cocktail parties.
Hubert’s Great-grandson Thomas Lester started making Reverend Hubert liqueurs officially in 2019 in the Cotswolds using real ingredients and is now seen as a market leader. The Reverend Hubert brand represents a gathering of your own congregation to enjoy each others company.
Thomas makes a number of award winning liqueurs for Fortnum & Mason and this year he is mesmerising us with an original clementine & Juniper mulling syrup lending a modern “grown up” twist to Mulled wine, cider or apple juice. Thomas will also be chatting about the indulgent toasted Panetonne and Saffton liqueur.
