Please join us for a celebration of the 40th Anniversary* of The Hymnal 1982!*The texts for the new hymnal were approved at General Convention of 1982. After settling on tunes and production and publishing, we began using it in the fall of 1985 – hence, 40th anniversary now!
To celebrate we are going to sing EVERY HYMN in the book!
At Trinity in the Woods Episcopal Church, Farmington Hills, Michigan, on Saturday, November 1, from 8:00am to 6:00pm, followed by dinner.
We will gather for coffee and treats at 8:00, and begin singing at 8:15am sharp.
There are 720 hymns, so we will sing one verse of each, though there will be an opportunity to buy extra verses for a good cause.
Come when you can, stay as long as you can.
